Students with Disabilities
The University of Nebraska takes pride in its diverse student population and is committed to providing all students the opportunity to take full advantage of its programs and facilities. In keeping with this philosophy, the University of Nebraska encourages academically qualified students with disabilities to participate in its educational programs.
Students seeking academic accommodations through the University of Nebraska must self-disclose their need for these services or accommodations to the appropriate campus disability office.

To be eligible for academic accommodations, students must have a documented disability as defined by the Rehabilitation Act of 1973 or the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) of 1990. Guidelines for appropriate documentation—and the verification forms necessary for each disability category—may be obtained from the individual campus offices.
To ensure accommodation can be provided in a timely manner, current and prospective students are encouraged to contact the disability office at their home campus as far in advance as possible to request and register for services.
