If you’re looking for details on how to get started with an online degree, you’re in the right place. We provide information on the application process, steps to admission, key academic dates and deadlines. We also give direction to prospective students, from high school to transfer students, military students to international students or students with disabilities.
Admissions
University of Nebraska degree, certificate and endorsement programs are offered by the four campuses of the University of Nebraska.
Each program belongs to a 'home campus' where you apply for admission, be assigned an academic adviser, enroll in courses and pay tuition and fees.
For some programs, courses are offered by more than one campus. Undergraduate degrees and certificates are issued by the home campus; all graduate degrees are issued by the University of Nebraska.
Whether you are interested in a single class or a complete degree program, you must first apply and be admitted.

- Review program information, including admission requirements or other requirements that may be specific to that program.
- Request information for that program or click Apply Now to get to the application page.
Complete the application form(s) and you're on your way to a respected degree, certificate or endorsement from the University of Nebraska.

Deadlines
Generally, programs may offer specific application deadlines or may offering a “rolling” deadline schedule. Please reference your program of interest for specific information for each program.
In general, application deadlines for undergraduate programs fall to the following timeframe:
- Spring semester - December prior
- Summer semester - April
- Fall semester - early August
Generally, graduate programs follow the following timeframes:
- March 1: Fall Semester
- September 1: Spring Semester
- February 1: Summer Sessions

Transfer Students
The University of Nebraska campuses have each established policies for students who present credit for transfer to a degree program. The evaluation and acceptance of any credits for transfer is the ultimate responsibility of the college under which a specific degree is awarded. Prospective students interested in transferring credit should always work with the appropriate admissions office or college adviser for the college in which the student enrolls.
