The online German Language, graduate certificate program is ideal for German teachers in K-12 schools, as well as those in higher education. 

Students choose this program because it enhances their understanding of the pedagogy unique to teaching the German Language. This online graduate certificate integrates research-informed practices into the language classroom practice. Students gain expertise is simultaneously in content, pedagogy and technology in this program through courses taught in German and developed using the TPACK (technology, pedagogy, and content knowledge) theoretical framework.

To be accepted to this program, you must have:

  1. Taken the TOEFL

    (Only required if English is not your native language)

  2. A written personal statement

  3. Official transcripts from all previous schools

  4. Sustantial content knowledge in the German language (e.g. employment as a language education, degree in the language, university language faculty and/or graduate student.
